Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series is good (book four comes out in August).
J D Robb’s “In Death” series is good - - start with “Naked in Death” and go from there.
The 6 Jane Austen novels are good.
I love Jayne Ann Krentz’s books too.
Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt books are a lot of fun.
:o)
Well, if you’re looking for realistic fiction based on real world events and issues I would definetly reccomend Jodi Picoult.
Vanishing Acts - A story about a mother who discovers her father actually kidnapped her
19 Minutes - (My personal favorite) A school shooting takes place, from the point of view of many people, including the shooter and his former best friend.
Plain Truth - An amish girl is taken to court for the murder of her out of wedlock newborn son
My Sisters Keeper - A teenage girl and test-tube baby, Anna, is born with the purpose of keeping her cancer ridden sister alive. When she reaches her breaking point she decides to fight leagally for the rights to her own body.
One of my favorite things about Jodi Picoult is that she tells the story from everyones point of view, the accused, the accusing and often the victims. She allows you to see situations that you may have otherwise seen in a certain light in another, possibly better, one.
Ender’s Game, or Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix
