Logos and Their History
A lot of the big company logos out there have their own history to them so I thought it would be a good idea to post some of the best ones.
BK or Burger King
has to be one of the biggest burger joints you could ever imagine as they serve millions of people a day. The first logo actually featured two big burger buns with Burger King in red lettering in between them both. The logo which had gone on for thirty years was changed slightly in 1999. The buns have been turned to the sides and there is a blue swirl going around the outside of it.
Pepsi
The creator of Pepsi was Caleb Bradham which is why when the drink first started out it was known as Brad’s Drink. He actually made the drink for his drug store customers. The name Pepsi-Cola was used later to define the company. The logo will always follow competiors simply because they are usually ahead of them. Because Pepsi has been around for such a long time there have been many slogans:
1909-1939 Delicious and Healthful
1975-1978 Have a Pepsi Day
1983 Pepsi Now
Coca-Cola
The brand and logo of Coca-Cola is one of the most recognised in the entire world. Many people do not know this but Coca-Cola is the most popular as well as biggest selling soft drink in the world and was created in Atlanta by Dr. John S Pemberton. This soda was actualling originally a fountain beverage as the syrup was mixed with the caronated water. It is argued that this is still the best way to enjoy Coca-Cola. One of the reasons that the logo was chosen to be red was because the colour red means success.
Business logo design is very important for a business in the same way that business flyers are.
Logos appear on everything from letterheads to compliment slips so they are very important to a company.
