Hey everyone
Hey everyone
I am a European student, doing my MBA here in NY, I have to buy business books which cost me over 500$ at the end. As I don’t have a lot of money I wanted to know if you knew any library where I could borrow business books ?
The library at my university doesnt not allow us to take the books to home.
I do hope you will help me, because I need them quiet soon.
enjoy your evening.

I’m not sure what school you go to, but at my school I can look for books at other universities and have the books delivered to me at my school. You can ask the librarian if you school has a similar program, I think its called PALCI or InterLibrary Loan. If thats doesn’t work go to the NY Public library on 42nd street, they have everything.
Try the SIBL (Science, Industry & Business Library)
They are on 5th Ave & 33rd Street
You can try (Covers Manhattan, the Bronx & Staten Island)
Queens Library is seperate and is at
I’ve gotten my college books from them and it’s way cheaper than buying!
They have online catalogs so you can search them. If you’re attending CUNY, you have access to libraries at all the CUNY libraries as well so it’s a wealth of books available.
The only place I can think of to borrow business text books is the business library branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (in Brooklyn Heights.)
However, you used to be able to buy books like this used. That would be far cheaper than buying new books.
At the Barnes and Nobles on 18th Street and 6th Avenue, there used to be a big used text book section in the back. I don’t know if that exists anymore, but it’s worth a try.
NYU bookstore also used to have a used book section. Try that as well.
